Daniel: Hello, Daniel speaking, how may I help you?

Julie: Hi, Daniel, Julie here.

Daniel: Hi, Julie, how are you?

Julie: Actually, I’m feeling quite ill today.

Daniel: I’m sorry to hear that. What’s wrong?

Julie: I think I’m coming down with the flu. I have a headache, a 

sore throat a runny nose and I'm feeling slightly feverish.

Daniel: I see… so you’re calling in sick?

sick&ill的区别：都指身体不舒服，美国人常用sick,而英国人常用ill。

sick在美式英语中指不太严重的病，如：感冒；在英式英语中sick指想呕吐。

ill在美式英语中比较正式，指较严重的，长期或短期的疾病；在英式英语中ill是指不舒服。
